Abbi Silver was raised in Boulder City, Nevada. She graduated from Clark High School in Las Vegas, and enrolled at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where she earned as degree in Political Science in 1986. She then graduated from the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angles.
After she gradated from law school, Abbi Silver began working at the Clark County District Attorney’s office. From 1994 until 2003, she worked in the Special Victim’s Office where she handled cases involving children and domestic and sexual violence.
In 2002, she was selected to serve as Nevada’s representative on the National Advisory Board-Violence Against Women and Children. Voters elected her to the Las Vegas Municipal Court in 2003. In 2006, she was elected to the Las Vegas Justice Court. She won her election for the Eighth Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada in 2009.
During her career, Silver has remained committed to protecting the rights of women and children. She is also involved in a number of community organizations.
