The award winning program, NEW Leadership Nevada, is conducted in partnership with Rutgers University, Center for American Women and Politics. The Women’s Research Institute of Nevada was the first site in the U.S. Southwest to implement this unique civic engagement program. NEW Leadership Nevada is dedicated to developing a sustainable program to continue this resource for our students state-wide. One of our unique features is that students do not incur a cost to attend the program. This enables us to recruit those who have not had previous opportunities, but who demonstrate the potential to lead. This program exists because of the generous support of our past, present, and future community partners. Supporters of NEW Leadership assist us in many ways including presenting workshops, in-kind donations, and grants.
